The Women’s Bar Association of the State of New York (WBASNY) is pleased to announce that its 2017 Convention will take place on May 18-21, 2017 at Water's Edge Resort and Spa, Westbrook, Connecticut. The Keynote Speaker is Sally Roesch Wagner, a nationally recognized lecturer, author and performance interpreter of women’s rights history and women’s suffrage. At the Convention, WBASNY’s 2017-2018 Officers will be installed: President – Amy Baldwin Littman, Esq. (Rockland); President-Elect - Greta K. Kolcon, Esq. (Rochester); Vice Presidents - Leyla Kiosse, Esq. (Capital District); Kelly A. Pressler, Esq. (Orange-Sullivan); Lourdes M. Ventura, Esq. (Queens); Corresponding Secretary – Joy A. Thompson, Esq. (Brooklyn); Recording Secretary – Jennifer P. Brown, Esq. (New York); and Treasurer – Dawn Reid-Green, Esq. (Staten Island). WBASNY’s 2017 Award Recipients also will be recognized: Joan L. Ellenbogen Founders Award (for work advancing the status of women in society and the law) - Norma Blumenfeld Grill, Esq.; Marilyn R. Menge Award (for valuable and significant contributions to a chapter or statewide organization) - Deborah W. Estis, Esq.; Doris S. Hoffman Outstanding New Lawyer Award (for bar member of less than five years who has made outstanding achievements within the profession or within member's community or both) - Meghan K. McGuire, Esq.; Stephanie E. Kupferman Juvenile Justice Award (for outstanding achievement in legal matters involving juveniles) - Eileen Malunowicz, Esq.; and the Judith S. Kaye Access to Justice Award (for current or former State or Federal public sector employee who has ensured equal access to justice) - Hon. Fern Fisher, Esq.
