Commercial and asset-based lending representation requires a broad base of legal knowledge as well as specialized expertise.  In addition to addressing the unique legal issues presented by each transaction, commercial and asset-based lending transactions may encompass various aspects of creating, perfecting, and enforcing security interests in real and personal property and related bankruptcy, tax and environmental law issues.  All of this knowledge must be applied to the transactions in a way that appropriately addresses both legal and practical business concerns.

Our attorneys have extensive experience in structuring transactions, creating and perfecting security interests, working out and restructuring problem credits and enforcing creditor’s rights.  We bring our background in these areas into every asset-based transaction we handle.  Our attorneys have an understanding of the business aspects of asset-based transactions that enhances and adds value to their legal representation.  With expertise in all aspects of secured lending, our attorneys assist asset-based lending clients in documenting transactions with broad and challenging collateral categories.  Our attorneys are knowledgeable of the complexities of revised Article 9 of the Uniform Commercial Code and can guide clients through its many issues and procedures.  Our attorneys represent both commercial lenders and corporate borrowers in finance transactions where credit is extended on an asset-based basis whether it be an acquisition loan, capital expenditure and equipment loans, or real estate loans.
